1. The Guangdong and Macao industries are facing severe challenges Guangdong’s industry has experienced 30 years of reform and opening up. The total industrial output value has soared from 9.965 billion yuan in 1978 to 9330 yuan in 1995. The average annual increase is 21.9%, of which 85-88 years, the average annual increase of 27.6%, up to 35% in 88 years. It ranks first or leader in the country. However, since 1997, the growth rate of industrial production has declined.
