开放带给中国今天的发展奇迹,西方政治领袖们想不到,以邓小平为首推动改革开放的决策者们也始料未及。因为在1978年以前的世界里,中国的没落境况完全是用“世纪”这个时间量才能描述的断裂和“鸿沟”。作为专攻世界经济和世界贸易的学者,中国人民大学经济学教授黄卫平在接受《瞭望》新闻周刊采访时,建议把眼界向后放宽到欧洲海权开始向全球扩张的16世纪,才能看清近500年后中国改革开放的历史地位。
