蔡余文,音乐家,投身音乐逾六十年。他编曲的无伴奏合唱《半个月亮爬上来》,于1953年参加第四届世界青年与学生联欢节国际艺术比赛,荣获银质奖,风靡海内外。1993年被载入《20世纪华人音乐经典》,并授予荣誉证书。一九五七年,他再次震动乐坛。他担任潮州音乐艺术指导,并参与整理的潮州大锣鼓《抛网捕鱼》和潮州小锣鼓《粉蝶采花》,在第六届世界青年与学生联欢节国际艺术比赛的参赛中,他被授予金质奖章。他五四年在华南歌舞团,主持并参与民族乐器的改革,成就突出。他的专著《广东潮州弦诗乐》(与郑诗敏合著,中国文联出版公司出版),被认为是我国民间音乐理论的重要著述,是对潮州音乐的重大贡献。此文为赵 同志为《激扬岁月—蔡余文的音乐情结》所写的序言,写完此序言才只过了半个月,赵老便因病去世了。
Cai Yuwen, musician, devoted himself to music for over 60 years. He composed the cappella chorus “Half a Moon Climb”, in 1953 to participate in the Fourth World Youth and Students Festival International Art Competition, won the silver medal, swept home and abroad. In 1993 was included in “20th Century Chinese music classics,” and awarded the honorary certificate. In 1957, he shocked the music scene again. He was instrumental in Chaozhou music art and was involved in arranging the “throwing nets” of the Chaozhou drums and the “pink butterflies” of the Chaozhou drums. He was awarded the gold medal at the 6th World Youth and Student Festival International Art Competition. Medal. He performed and participated in the reform of ethnic musical instruments in South China Song and Dance Troupe in May or so. His achievements have been outstanding. His monograph entitled “Chaozhou Poetry and Music Collection in Guangdong” (co-authored with Zheng Shimeng and published by China Federation of Literature Publishing Company) is regarded as an important work of folk music theory in our country and a major contribution to Chaozhou music. This article is the preface by Zhao Comrade to “promote the music complex of years - Cai Yuwen”. After just over two weeks after finishing this preface, Zhao died of the illness.
