甜椒是北方地区主要夏秋果菜之一,随着人民生活水平的提高,需求量不断增长。但进入本世纪70年代露地甜椒生产曾出现过连年低产或大幅度减产的局面,严重地影响了生产的发展与市场供应。如沈阳市1976—1980年的五年是连续低产年,甜椒平均亩产为571—884.5公斤之间,有的低产田亩产还更低;长春市1975—1981年间甜椒平均亩产只有458公斤;哈尔滨市每年种植甜椒6000—7000亩,而总交售量仅150—200万公斤,平均亩产量只250—300多公斤。东北地区地处较高纬度,冬春寒冷、夏秋气候多变,无霜期较短,这给甜椒生产带来一定困难,但造成甜椒低产、减产的原因综合起来主要是:
Bell peppers are one of the main summer fruits and vegetables in northern China. With the improvement of people’s living standards, the demand is growing. However, in the 70s of this century, the production of peppers in the open field has seen the situation of continuous low production or large-scale reduction of production in successive years, seriously affecting the development of production and market supply.
