一很年轻的时候,我得到过一本很可爱的书,人民文学出版社出版的,手掌书,属于人文社“外国名诗”系列中的一本。书名是《榕树》,原作者是泰戈尔,装帧设计是张守仁先生,翻译者也是鼎鼎大名:冰心、郑振铎和石真。从这本书我得知冰心除了作家身份之外还有一个身份是翻译家,这让我小小地吃了一惊。那时候我读这种外译的书很少,几乎没有什么判断力,不过也有着自己比较倔强的审美取向。冰心的翻译自然是好的。比如:我知道你欢喜我的歌唱。我知道只因为我是个歌者,才能走到你的面前。我要从我心中驱走一切的丑恶,使我的爱开花。因为我知道你在我的心宫深处安设了座位。
When I was young, I got a very lovely book, published by the People’s Literature Publishing House, a book of the palm, belonging to the Humanities Society ’Foreign Poems ’ in a series. From this book, I learned that Bing Xin was a little surprised by her identity as a translator. At that time, I read very few books on this kind of translation, with little judgment, but also had my own relatively stubborn aesthetic orientation. Bingxin translation is good.
