The Lupine gold mine is a mining, dressing and smelting joint venture located on the southwestern bank of the Cantevoto Lake in northwestern Canada at 400km northeast of Yellowknife and 100km from the Arctic Circle. The mine was put into operation in 1982, The current ore production capacity of 612kt / a, with an annual output of 6t gold. Luping gold deposit is located near the Arctic continental climate zone. Mining area is flat, rare vegetation, the main plant is lichen and moss. Extreme temperature 24 ℃ ~ -45 ℃, the average annual temperature of -12 ℃. In the mining area, permafrost is deepened to a depth of 500m below the surface.
