Much research has been done to improve the specific power of medium-speed diesel engines by increasing the boost pressure. One of the focuses of these studies is how to improve the reliability of diesel engines by reducing the heat load and how to improve the thermal efficiency to improve the economy. In this paper, the simulation of the cycle and performance of the diesel engine is combined with the simulation of the heat load. According to the factors that affect the cycle and heat load of the diesel engine (such as the compression and combustion process, including the pressurization process of the intake and exhaust system, materials, Cooling conditions, etc.) analyzed the four-stroke medium-speed diesel fuel consumption and heat load. Finally, the article clarifies the influence of the cycle and performance of diesel engine on the heat load, and obtains the cycle characteristics and the combustion chamber wall and the cooling conditions for reducing the heat load and increasing the heat efficiency.
