美国人卡罗尔两岁时,被查出患有视网膜母细胞瘤,这是一种恶性肿瘤。虽然家人尽全力对卡罗尔进行了救治,避免了肿瘤扩散,但还是没有保住他的双眼。两岁半时,卡罗尔永远堕入了黑暗。黑暗的世界一度让卡罗尔变得胆小畏缩,不敢出门。卡罗尔的母亲是一位教师,她深知儿子如果一直这样下去,人生必然会在一片黑暗中黯然收场,她开始观察卡罗尔的兴趣所在,并鼓励他去重新感受这个世界。
At the age of two Americans, Carol was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a malignant tumor. Although his family made every effort to Carroll for treatment, to avoid the spread of the tumor, but still did not keep his eyes. Two and a half years old, Carol will always fall into darkness. Once the dark world so Carol became timid, afraid to go out. Carroll’s mother was a teacher. She knew her son would have to end up in darkness if she had been going on.
