在不久之后的2008年8月8日晚8点,北京奥运会就将与世人激情相约。对奥运会,中国人有着复杂而特殊的情感。从刘长春第一次参加奥运会未能进入决赛到中国健儿屡次摘金夺银,从1993年申奥失败到2001年北京成功申奥,奥运会见证了中华民族从“东亚病夫”到东方巨人的迅速崛起,见证了中国从贫穷落后到自立于世界民族之林的惊人巨变。奥运承载了中国人太多的希望与梦想。在北京奥运会即将召开的时候,让我们一起重温那些或振奋或苦涩的奥运往事,期待梦想成真的兴奋和甜蜜。
At 8 o’clock on August 8, 2008, not long afterwards, the Beijing Olympics will have the same passion as the world. For the Olympic Games, Chinese people have complex and special emotions. From the first time that Liu Changchun participated in the Olympics to the finals and the Chinese athletes repeatedly won gold and silver, from the failure of the Olympic bid in 1993 to the successful bid for Beijing in 2001, the Olympic Games witnessed the rapid rise of the Chinese nation from “East Asian sickness” to Eastern Giants. It has witnessed the astonishing changes in China from poverty and backwardness to the independence of the nations of the world. The Olympic Games carried too many hopes and dreams of the Chinese people. When the Beijing Olympic Games is about to be held, let us revisit those exciting or bitter Olympic pasts together and look forward to the dreams becoming true and sweet.
