国内外的研究证明:油菜利用细胞质不育“三系”、胞核不育“两用系”和自交不亲和系等途径配制杂种均表现不同程度的杂种优势。具体表现在(1)生长势强、伤流量多、出叶速度快、叶绿素含量高;(2)角果数、籽粒数、千粒重等获得提高;(3)有显著的增产效果。我国油菜杂种优势利用研究自60年代开始,相继育成白菜型“三系”(四川),甘蓝型自交不亲和系(湖北),核不育“两用系”(上海),甘蓝型雄性不育“三系”(湖南)。其杂交种产量优势率一般为20—45%。但是如何将杂种优势利用与品质融为一体,在改良品质的基础上提高产量,国内外尚未见报导。本文阐述在原有甘蓝型油菜杂种优势利用研究成果的基础
