本文论述了用向量机（SVM）技术检测城市主干道交通事件的发展应用。用来自固定检测器和浮动车的数据作为输入向量，经过以下五个步骤完成事件检测：采用ARFIMA模型处理交通输入数据，用SVM训练原始数据，运用模糊逻辑训SVM样本，融合从固定检测器和浮动车获取的数据，推断路段及路网状态。
