How should the national spirit be established and expressed under the contemporary artistic situation? The determination of the social status and value of Chinese fine arts requires us to abandon the speculative arts that are useless of art, lack of national characteristics and Chinese style. The improvement of aesthetic ability and aesthetic taste of the entire nation depends on people’s concern for the art itself, not its external influence.
