交通环境是奥运环境的重要组成部分,交通文明是精神文明建设的重要内容,交通文明代表着城市的形象,体现着首都市民的精神风貌,是成功举办一届“有特色、高水平”奥运会的重要保障。北京奥运会在一天天临近,很多关注奥运的人都不免会有一个疑问,到时,北京城市交通拥堵状况会彻底改变吗?北京交通能为这百年盛会增光添彩吗?国际奥委会委员芬兰人彼得·塔尔伯格认为,北京现在的交通存在的问题,将是筹备2008年北京奥运会面临的最大挑战。北京奥组委承诺为所有奥运会参与者提供安全、快捷、舒适的交通服务,为此已经制定了详尽的奥运交通战略计划。而为了进一步提高城市交通功能,为奥运会创造良好的城市交通环境,北京市政府也不遗余力地从加快建设地铁等交通设施、强化科学管理、提高通行者素质等方面着手,加大工作力度。此外,在奥运会期间,北京将调整优化公交线路、设置奥运专用道路、奥运公交专线、加强停车管理、增设出租车停靠点等多项措施,满足运动员和所有奥运参与者的交通需要。目前,北京在交通建设方面的发展势头良好。由来已久的交通堵塞问题已经取得了很多阶段性的治理成效,我们也有理由相信,北京交通建设届时一定会为百年盛会增光添彩。

BOCOG promised to provide safe, fast and comfortable transport services to all Olympic participants. To this end, a detailed Olympic traffic strategic plan has been drawn up. In order to further improve urban transport functions and create a good urban transportation environment for the Olympic Games, the Beijing municipal government has spared no efforts in accelerating the construction of transport facilities such as the MTRC, strengthening scientific management, and improving the quality of travelers. In addition, during the Olympic Games, Beijing will adjust and optimize bus lines, setting up Olympic-only roads, Olympic bus lanes, strengthening parking management, setting up taxi stops and many other measures to meet the transport needs of athletes and all Olympic participants. At present, Beijing has enjoyed a good momentum of development in transportation construction. The long-standing problem of traffic congestion has achieved many stages of governance. We also have reasons to believe that Beijing’s traffic construction will definitely add luster to the centennial event.
