鉴于突出煤样形态的特殊性,研究专门针对突出煤样视密度测定的方法是必要的。首先采用现行普通煤样视密度的测定方法来测定突出煤样,然后从视密度的定义着手设计出针对突出煤样视密度的测定方法来测定相同地域的突出煤样,对比、分析2种方法所得到的实验结果,画出误差分布柱状图,比较2种方法的优劣,并且也对实验中重点使用的仪器的可靠性进行了研究,最后得出了突出煤视密度测定的最优方法,对石门揭煤突出危险性预测有一定的应用价值。
