自从我国古代牛羊皮浑脱、气囊和皮筏相继问世以来,就以奇特的地域风情和浑厚的人文色彩,被历代文人墨客入诗填词,题吟赞美。其中,尤以讴歌甘肃皮筏的诗文最为脍炙人口。在我国历史上,最早吟哦皮筏的是唐代著名诗人白居易《长恨歌·蛮子朝》中的诗句:“泛皮筏兮渡绳桥,来自巂州道路遥”。“巂”(读音“西”)州,在今山东东阿县南。诗人对齐鲁西南黄河水道上泛河远去的皮船,以诗的语言进行了由衷的赞美。
