2009年在北京逗留期间,我目睹了如何用传统的竹制脚手架来建造现代化钢筋玻璃混凝土建筑的立面。这一脆弱而又稳定的脚手架令我如此震惊、着迷和印象深刻,从而启发了这一项目,并能于五年后在杜塞尔多夫庆祝这个项目的成功实施。德国德中艺术设计交流协会第一秘书长郭健教授的介绍,激发了来自北京的雕塑家董书兵教授的一个创意,用竹子为德国马尔卡斯滕美术家协会的雕塑论坛创作一件新的雕塑作品。
During my stay in Beijing in 2009, I witnessed the use of traditional bamboo scaffolding to build the facade of a modern reinforced concrete building. I was so shocked, mesmerized and impressed by this fragile and stable scaffold that inspired this project and celebrated the successful implementation of the project in Düsseldorf five years later. The introduction of Professor Guo Jian, the first secretary-general of German-China Art and Design Exchange Association, inspired a creative idea from Professor Dong Shu-bing, a sculptor from Beijing, to create a new sculpture with bamboo for the Sculpture Forum of the German Association of Marche Stein Artists works.
