Guo Tiancai, deputy director of the National Wheat Engineering and Technology Research Center and a professor at Henan Agricultural University recently said that at present, China’s annual output of high-quality specialty wheat accounts for only 8.5% of the consumption. Therefore, high-quality wheat has broad market prospects. A few years ago, in order to solve the problem of eating many people, the production of wheat in our country mainly made a fuss about the high yield. There was very little development of high-quality and special-purpose wheat and the formation of an ordinary wheat bank, while the state spent an annual import of 2.6 billion U.S. dollars
