赤壁市第五初级中学始建于1991年,1998年迁至城乡结合部——赤壁市陆水湖大道1号。校园占地面积58亩,服务半径20千米,服务人口达15万人。学校现有教学班40个,学生3000余人,教师200多人,其中中学高级教师40人以上,是全市规模最大的初中。多年来,学校坚持“以人为本、以质立校、以德树人”的办学理念,不断深化教研教改,大力推行素质教育,取得了一定成绩。近三年,学校为重点高中输送优质生源600余人,全市第一。教师在
