中国古代军事家孙武所著《孙子兵法》总结了春秋末期及以前的战争经验,提出了“知己知彼,百战不殆”、“攻其无备,出其不意”、“避其锐气,击其惰归”等一系列带有普遍性的军事指导思想,这些思想不仅在中国古代的战争实践中起过重要的指导作用,而且还广泛地渗透于现今的外交、商业、管理等领域,并指导着它们的实践。根植于中国传统文化土壤的中华传统武术也不例外,在许多方面受到了《孙子兵法》的深刻影响。下面我们试从传统武术招式创立的角度,来阐释《孙子兵法》对其招式形成的影响。这对解读《孙子兵法》与传统武术招式创立的内在联系,继承和弘扬中华传统武术有重要意义。
