为加强对进口汽车的管理 ,严厉打击利用假单证申领机动车牌证的违法犯罪活动 ,海关总署下发了《关于建立〈没收走私汽车、摩托车证明书〉、〈货物进口证明〉通报制度的通知》(署监[1998]306号)。根据该文件规定 ,进口汽车《货物进口证明书》(以下简称《证明书》)丢失后一律不予补发。但是 ,由于某些不可预见的因素 ,有些合法进口车辆由于丢失了《证明书》 ,而无法办理牌照 ,给货主或有关企业带来了很大的经济损失。针对此类情况 ,海关总署下发通知 ,自2000年2月1日起 ,对丢失《证明书》的货主或有关企业予以办理补发手续。现就如何办理有关手续答企业问。
