中国嘉德2012春季拍卖会5月12日举槌,在“大观——中国书画珍品之夜”专场中,革命圣地山水巅峰巨制李可染的《韶山》作为压轴拍品,以1.24亿元成交,创出今春拍卖场首个高价,也刷新画家拍场成交纪录。在中国嘉德2010秋拍中,李可染的《长征》曾以1.0752亿元成交,创出当时中国近现代书画纪录。此幅《韶山》创作于1974年,是李可染同类题材作品中尺幅最大的一幅,构图完整,经过多次加工,成为李可染的经典构图和革命圣地山水创作的集大成之作,该作品曾是1996年秋季中国嘉德《新中国美术作品》专场的封面作品,当时以154万元成交,这也是该作品16年后再次现身中国嘉德。
