In recent years, it has been proved that γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a potent physiological inhibitor of the central nervous system and plays an important role in the central regulation of cardiovascular homeostasis. The purpose of this paper is to elucidate the physiological role of central GABA in cardiovascular regulation and how the function of GABA regulation can alter the cardiovascular system in a suitable manner.
