艺术与金钱的关系至少可以从两方面来理解:其一,艺术可被视作流通于艺术市场的作品之集合。在这种情况下,谈起艺术与金钱,我们首先想到的是近年来艺术市场蔚为奇观的飞速发展:现当代艺术现身于拍卖行中,吸引各路主顾在它们身上一掷万金,如此情形比比皆是;我们在报纸上读到的关于当代艺术的报道几乎都在围着这一点打转。今天的艺术完全可以在艺术市场的语境中加以解读,而每一件艺术作品都可成为商品,这已是毫无疑问的事实。
The relationship between art and money can be understood in at least two ways: First, art can be seen as a collection of works circulated in the art market. In this case, talking about art and money, what we think first of all is the spectacular rapid growth of the art market in recent years: Contemporary art is appearing in the auction houses and attracting patrons spending all manner of money on them. Such situations abound; the coverage of contemporary art we read in the newspapers revolves almost everywhere. Today’s art can be completely interpreted in the context of the art market, and every piece of art can become a commodity. This is a fact undoubtedly.
