陕西宝鸡县千河乡魏家崖六组村民王志斌在村头取土时挖出金虎和金铺首,其中金虎的造型颇似今天凤翔泥土老虎。金虎全长4.5cm,厚0.5cm,重30克,呈卧式,昂首竖耳张口圆目,云纹饰身,长尾上卷,神态生动,威武森严。 魏家崖村面朝千河,背靠三原,位于千河第二阶台地之上,是千河渭水会合的前哨阵地和军事重镇。诸葛亮曾屯兵石鼻城以拒郝昭。1991年该村发现春秋墓葬,出土壶、簋、盘、鼎等。附近的杨家沟、陈家崖、冯家咀也发现从仰韶到春秋、战国、秦汉时代的遗址多处。从金虎的造型质地纹饰和出土地点考证,应为春秋战国时代器物,这是偶然巧合?
