水槽寨瑶族传统文化保护区位于红河州河口瑶族自治县瑶山乡境内,分上水槽寨和下水槽寨,共136户,673人。人均耕地面积2.15亩,人均收入539元。该村位于大围山自然保护区边缘,环境优美。下水槽瑶语称“吊坪”。1861年,瑶族迁至瑶山,水槽寨应建于此时。村边有溪流,竹槽引水,方便生活。瑶族人主要从事农耕,亦兼采集、狩猎。民居以土墙红板瓦顶土木结构为主,土墙茅草顶约占1/4。至今保留着传统的建房
