棣棠为蔷薇科棣棠属落叶灌木,分布于我国华北、西北等地,辽宁大连也有栽培。棣棠枝条终年翠绿,花开满冠金黄,集观花、观枝于一身,在园林中被广泛应用。棣棠树高1.5~2.5m,冠幅约2.5m。小枝绿色,光滑,微有拱曲。叶卵形至卵状披针形,两性花,单生于侧枝枝顶,花瓣5枚,金黄色,花期4~5月。果期7~8月。重瓣棣棠是常见变型种,花瓣数较多,花冠叠成球形,雌雄蕊全部瓣化。
Di Tang is a deciduous shrub belonging to the family Roseiaceae, distributed in North China and Northwest China, and also cultivated in Dalian, Liaoning. Di branch year-long emerald green branches, full of golden crowns, set view of flowers, Guan Zhi in one, is widely used in gardens. Di Tang tree height 1.5 ~ 2.5m, crown width of about 2.5m. Branchlets green, smooth, slightly arched. Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, bisexual, solitary in lateral branches, petals 5, golden yellow, flowering from April to May. Fruit from July to August. Double-doubi is a common variant, the number of petals, corolla stacked into a spherical, all stamens of the petal.
