In 1993, a series of articles entitled “Horrible Shunde People” were published in the “Economic Daily” and “Beiren South Travel Notes” series. More than 20 years later, Ou Bangmin, secretary of the CPC Shunde Committee of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, responded to the question of “Found Shunde Global Roadshow” and proposed that “Shunde is actually very cute.” On January 11, 2017, a nationwide project-based development research tour led by the “Economic” magazine and the China Academy of Sciences was first arranged in Shunde.
