一年多以前,新潮美术理论家还那样踌躇满志地欢呼“它一爆发就有锐不可挡的气势”,渴望它“成为持久的、一泻千里的洪流”。可现在,星转斗移,新潮美术已无可奈何地处在另一种境地之中了。从理论上对新潮美术的实践和理论进行认真的梳理、清理或反思的时候巳经到了。饭得一口一口吃,一团乱麻似的问题只能一个一个解决。本文仅就新潮美术关于美术的本质和功能问题的带有代表性的理论和观点作初步的评论辩析。
