水稻一生并不需要很多水,因此,田间不必经常保持水层。试验和生产实践表明,在基本满足水稻生理需水要求的前提下,节约耕作用水,减少生态需水,不但对水稻无害,而且还可为其高产创造条件。水稻在幼苗期、有效分蘖终止期、减数分裂基本完成期(即打包抽穗前)需水较少,具有较强的抗旱能力。因此,在保证上述生育期有较充足的土壤水分的前提下,可以最大限度地减少灌溉用水,实行抗旱节水灌溉。
