结构主义作为20世纪五六十年代西方广为盛行的一种方法论被广泛应用到多门学科领域并形成一种思潮。而“以学科为基础的艺术教育”理论是20世纪60年代到80年代美国重要的艺术教育思想,本文将通过“以学科为基础的艺术教育”思想的产生为个案来阐述结构主义思潮通过对教育学的影响以至渗透到当代美国艺术教育的过程以及对美国艺术教育产生的深刻影响。
