今年是伟大的中国共产党的七十周年诞辰。每当缅怀老一辈无产阶级革命家所开创的光辉业绩,敬仰之忱油然而生,其中尤以陈毅同志,今年刚巧又是他诞辰九十周年。陈老总(我们总喜欢这样亲昵地称呼陈毅同志)在建国初期主持上海工作期间给我留下了深刻而难忘的印象。这里,就本人亲身经历的几段往事,追思陈毅同志当年在处理上海的经济和统战工作中所表现的非凡气度和才干。
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the great Chinese Communist Party. Whenever we cherish the memory of the glorious achievements pioneered by the proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation, our admiration arises spontaneously. Especially Comrade Chen Yi, this year happens to coincide with the 90th anniversary of his birth. President Chen (whom we always liked to call Chen Yi intimately) left a deep and unforgettable impression on me during the presidency of Shanghai in the early days of the founding of our nation. Here I recalled several extraordinary past memories of Comrade Chen Yi’s handling of the economic and united front work in Shanghai that year.
