Objective: To investigate the effect of PDCA circulation on infection control in operating room. Methods: A total of 480 patients undergoing surgery in Operation Room of First People’s Hospital of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from May 2014 to May 2015 were divided into control group and observation group according to time sequence. Patients in the control group were given conventional management mode and patients in the observation group were administered PDCA cycle management model. Comparative analysis of two groups of patients using different modes of care management, the probability of infection and patient satisfaction. Results: 35 patients in the control group had an infection rate of 14.58%. In the observation group, 5 patients had an infection rate of 2.08%. The infection rate of the control group was significantly higher than that of the observation group (P <0.05). Conclusion: PDCA can effectively control the infection in the operating room, which is of great significance to reduce nosocomial infection and improve patient satisfaction.
