汉城奥运会,对于中国选手的表现,人们颇有“意料之外”的感觉,不但包括举重、体操、花剑、女排等“热门”项目的失利,也包括在落后项目游泳上的可喜突破。庄泳、黄晓敏、杨文意分别在女子100米自由泳、200米蛙泳和50米自由泳比赛中夺得银牌;钱红在女子100米蝶泳中夺得铜牌;中国队在女子4×100米自由泳中夺得第4名。另外王晓红、林莉等还夺得4个第7名,1个第8名。中国在这次比赛中,共打破3次奥运会纪录
Seoul Olympic Games, the performance of Chinese players, people quite “unexpected” feeling, not only including weightlifting, gymnastics, foil, women’s volleyball and other “hot” project defeat, but also a welcome breakthrough in the backward project swimming. Zhuang Yong, Huang Xiaomin and Yang Wenyi won the silver medal in the women’s 100m freestyle, the 200m breaststroke and the 50m freestyle, Qian won the bronze medal in the women’s 100m butterfly and the Chinese team won the women’s 4x100m freestyle 4th place. In addition Wang Xiaohong, Lin Li, also won 4 of the first 7, an eighth. In this competition, China broke a total of three Olympic Games records
