Cambodia is currently the main port of Sihanouk Port and Phnom Penh port. According to the Cambodian Daily News, Cambodia will officially begin construction of a comprehensive terminal in Sihanoukville in early 2014 at an estimated cost of 80 million U.S. dollars. Upon completion in 2016, Cambodia will become Cambodia’s largest terminal. Sihanoukville, formerly Kampong Sam, belongs to a port city of Cambodia from an urban point of view.
