我国铁矿床的成因类型,具有工业意义的有沉积变质型铁矿、岩浆型铁矿、沉积型铁矿、接触交代型(矽卡岩)铁矿、热液型铁矿、风化壳型铁矿和风化淋滤型铁矿等。在地质普查勘探过程中,常常遇到的矿床类型,如沉积铁矿,岩浆型铁矿,热液型等铁矿床,由于矿石组成复杂,共生金属多,含有多种有害元素,粒度细小,或属新矿石类型又无现成工艺可循等特点,需要通过选矿试验研究,以解决其综合利用、综合开发问题。
