医院中子照射器是一座专门用于硼中子俘获治疗的微型中子源反应堆。堆芯采用二氧化铀为燃料,235U富集度为12.5%,水作为慢化剂和冷却剂,铍作为反射层。设计有3条中子束流孔道:热中子束流孔道、超热中子束流孔道和实验中子束流孔道。中子能谱测量对硼中子俘获治疗有重要作用。
The hospital neutron irradiator is a miniature neutron source reactor dedicated to boron neutron capture therapy. Uranium dioxide core fuel for the fuel, 235U enrichment of 12.5%, water as a moderator and coolant, beryllium as a reflective layer. Three neutron beam tunnels are designed: thermal neutron beam tunnel, superheated neutron beam tunnel and experimental neutron beam tunnel. Neutron energy spectrum measurement plays an important role in boron neutron capture therapy.
