在全省桑树资源普查中,发现阳城县横河乡有一种与众不同的桑树品种,因其树皮、叶形酷似漆树,故名漆叶桑。当地群众应用套接法繁殖。经中国蚕业研究所桑树品种专家施炳昆同志鉴定,本品种应属白桑系统。漆叶桑为高干落叶乔木,树形高大,株高3—4米,树冠扩展面较小,紧凑;支干皮纹粗糙,皮孔微突;枝条直立细长,节间稀。无侧枝;叶形狭长如漆树叶,叶长24厘
