21世纪在即,无论从世界经济和科技发展趋势,还是从我国社会经济发展形势分析,“九五”期间都是一个非常关键的时期。按照计划经济模式建立起来的中国科学院,怎样适应形势发展的要求,以继续发挥科技“国家队”的作用?在不久前结束的中国科学院1997年度工作会议上,常务副院长路甬祥指出,认真审视我们所面临的形势,实施“分类定位”,加快结构调整步伐,科学院才可以和整个社会同步发展。他说:“科学院的未来要由我们自己来决定。我们要积极主动地去抓住未来。”
