响叶杨(Populus adenopodoMaxim.)属杨柳科,是我省自然分布较为普遍的独有杨属树种。从丘陵平地到海拔1300米的高山均有分布,湘西红岩丘陵多成天然次生群落,常与白栎、石栎、苦槠、兰果树、毛枳椇、光皮桦、山苍子等混生,或组成小片纯林,谷地溪畔,屡见大树,为群众喜爱的箱板及室内装饰用材。虽天然更新能力甚强,但因只砍不造,资源日益贫乏,急需重视,大力发展。
Populus adenopodoMaxim. Belongs to the willow family, which is the only poplar tree species with more natural distribution in our province.
