1990 International Conference on Noise Control Engineering was held on the University of Mozambique, Gothenburg, Sweden, from August 13 to 15, 1990. There were about 800 participants, of whom about 20 were Chinese. INTERPRETATION There are three prominent speeches at the conference, 40 papers, 286 invitations or self-selected dissertations. Outstanding papers were reported at three morning sessions and were divided into eight subgroups in parallel. The first essay in morning or afternoon in each group was an open essay, each lasting 30 minutes (25 minutes for discussion and 3 Minutes, rest for 2 minutes for group transfer.) All other papers are 20 minutes (15 minutes for discussion, 3 minutes for discussion, 2 minutes for rest)
