党的十六大召开后不久,胡锦涛总书记和中央书记处的同志就到革命圣地西柏坡学习考察。胡锦涛总书记发表了重要讲话,号召全党同志特别是领导干部要牢记“两个务必”,大力发扬艰苦奋斗的作风,为实现党的十六大确定的目标和任务开拓进取、团结奋斗。在今天的新形势下,为什么要大力提倡艰苦奋斗?怎样认识艰苦奋斗精神的时代特性?青年学生应怎样在实际生活和学习中发扬这一精神?这是摆在每一位大学生面前的十分重要而又现实的重要问题。为了加深同学们的认识和理解,本刊特邀三位专家共同来探讨这个问题。
