有些妇女发现阴道口有白带或浓浊的分泌物,常自作主张去冲洗阴道内部,认为冲洗阴道可以解决这些困扰。还有的妇女,有月经或同房后,除清洗外阴外,还冲洗阴道,更有甚者把冲洗阴道当作一种避孕措施。其实这些做法极不科学。最近《美国公共卫生》杂志发表了一篇文献综述,这篇文章研究分析了过去30年世界各国有关阴道冲洗的资料,结果显示,频繁地冲洗阴道,会制造许多麻烦:
