解毒药顾名思义是用作解毒的药物。有人听说是解毒药,对中毒患者就不加考虑应用,以为解毒药用量愈大,解毒就愈快,效果就愈好,这是不正确的,解毒药使用不当,也会引起中毒甚至危及生命的。有人认为西药毒性反应较多,而中草药没有毒性或毒性低微,是安全可靠的。这显然是种不全面的认识,就总体而言,中药较西药毒性小,付作用少,较为安全可靠。但就一药一方而言,就得作具体分析。祖国医学对中草药中毒及其防治论述颇多,汉代刘安《淮南子·修务训》中载道:“神农尝百草之滋味,水泉之甘苦,全比知所避就,一日而遇七十毒”。这就是以说明很多中草药
