当今世界,科学技术突飞猛进,知识经济已见端倪,国力竞争日趋激烈,而教育是基础,为此,要以提高国民素质为根本宗旨,全面推进素质教育,实施科教兴国战略,为中华民族的全面振兴培养新人。分层教学从学生的实际情况、个体差异出发,有的放矢地进行有差别的教学,使每个学生都能扬长避短,获得最佳的发展,是实施素质教育的有效途径,体现了教学中因材施教的原则。
