Objective To investigate the efficacy of minimally invasive internal fixation system (LISS) in the treatment of distal osteoporotic distal femoral fractures by prospective study. Methods LISS minimally invasive treatment of 18 cases of osteoporotic distal femoral fractures, knee function and complications were analyzed. Results The follow-up of 15 to 36 months in this group, the fractures were healed, no incision infection and complications such as fracture. Merchant score according to Merchant score: excellent in 12 cases, good in 4 cases, fair in 2 cases, good rate of 88.89%. Conclusions Well-known principles and technical points of LISS biomechanics, restoration of medial femoral cortex and active anti-osteoporosis are important factors to improve the stability of osteoporosis distal femoral fractures, which will help to reduce postoperative complications and obtain good Knee function.
