Rhetorical questioning can play an important role in communication. It is an effective means of helping writers express their meaning and listeners’ opinions. Exploring the characteristics of rhetorical questions and using linguistic theories to analyze rhetorical questions can better understand the communicative functions of rhetorical questions.
