“雀巢公司并没有信誓旦旦的座右铭,但在公司所属的企业里经常可以听到的一个词是‘质量’,时时刻刻将质量放在首位,应该说是‘雀巢’成功的秘诀”。瑞士雀巢公司主席和总裁毛赫尔先生在最近接受记者采访时做如上表示。毛赫尔先生首先介绍了雀巢公司的发展历史。雀巢公司于1867年由德国化学家亨利·雀巢先生创建。他针对当时有些妇女不能用母乳喂养婴儿,利用瑞士山区优质牛奶,研制出一种婴儿替代食品。不久,这种产品就以“雀巢奶类食品”的名称享誉世界。1905年,雀巢公司同竞争对手英瑞炼乳公司合并,规模和实力得以加强,影响日益扩大。今天,雀巢公司已经成为世界上最大的食品公司,经营范围遍及五大洲70多个国家,21万多名“世界雇员”在500余家下属工厂工作。1994年年营业额达568亿瑞郎,利润在30亿瑞郎左右。

Turnover amounted to 56.8 billion Swiss francs in 1994 with a profit of about 3.0 billion Swiss francs.
