无菌包装(AsepticPackaging)是指用铝箔作阻隔材料制成附带有(饮用汽水时)麦杆吸管孔的长方形纸盒包装。现在,无菌包装随着包装技术工作者进行的符合无菌充填所需要的对各种包装材料性能的研究和改善,已经有了迅速的发展。例如,用PET和HDPE制成的饮料瓶和以薄膜类为基材的可挠曲性包装材料,一般均用于无菌包装。同时,TetraPak(中译名为“泰特拉帕”,国内称“利乐”)公司和SIGCombiloc(国内一般称“康美乐”)公司,现正在研究和设计不使用铝箔阻隔性材料的无菌充填用的多层材料。本文扼要介绍目前国外,特别是美国市场上已经开发使用的各种无菌包装的情况和研究进展。
