骁果兵作为兵种首次出现是在隋炀帝大业九年(613)。关于此,《隋书》卷四《炀帝纪》大业九年(613)正月丁丑条记:“征天下之兵,募民为骁果,集于涿郡。”~([1])由此至隋朝灭亡,骁果兵陆续被招募,如大业十一年(615)“(炀帝)遂幸太原,为突厥围于雁门。突厥寻散,遽还洛阳,募益骁果,以充旧数”~([2])。唐代隋鼎,其兵制的建立、完善,借鉴了隋朝的府兵制。然而骁果兵却为唐朝所
