在我国当今书坛上,杜中信的书法以其法度严谨、风流倜傥、备精诸华而独树一帜。他讲究过硬的传统功夫,特别重视规矩法度。作品有一种古抽而灵动、苍劲而洒脱的风韵,大胆的夸张、出人意料的用笔而又能“有惊无险”令人惊讶,故有“怪才”、“鬼才”之称。杜中信现任西北书画院副院长、陕西省书协副主席等职务。薛铸生长在八百里关中沃野、六朝古都的西安,独特的文化渊源造就了薛铸以后雄阔的胸臆和博大的境界。从西安美院附中毕业,薛铸来到省博物馆工作,深得老书法家兼文物鉴定家段绍嘉的指教,系统地研究了中国书法艺术。其草书独具风格,作品有《真草唐诗一百首》。不少作品被博物馆、纪念馆收藏、刻碑。观其草书、虚实浓淡、长短相间,或曲屈缭绕或一泻千里,收放开阖,顺势贯气,风姿潇洒。他在潜心研习书法的同时还创办了陕西书法家协会、陕西省书学院,为陕西省书法艺术的发展做出了特殊贡献。
